This is the sheet music of Bach's "Chromatic Fantasy" performed by Jaco Pastorius on the album "Word of Mouth."
Basically, I followed Bach's score, but I followed Jaco's performance in the first part. And the parts in different octaves are also based on Jaco's performance. The tempo is just a guide. It changes quite a bit during the song.
The tab has been designed to be as easy to play as possible, but there are quite a few fingerings that cover 5 frets with the left hand. For reference, the finger numbers are also written.
Most notes with the same finger number on the same fret on different strings are pressed down at the same time with one finger (barre or bar). The T in the 4th measure means the thumb of your left hand or tapping with your right hand.
However, some people may find other fingerings easier, so it's a good idea to try out different fingerings.
This piece is extremely difficult, but Bach's music has such cool musical motifs that even playing it slowly sounds cool and allows you to appreciate the beauty of the music. I think just playing the very first part (which goes up and down the melodic minor scale) already sounds cool.
