This is the TAB that I have accurately transcribed the opening melody and the bass solo part of "Continuum" from Jaco Pastorius' debut solo album.
This tune makes good use of open strings, and I think it's a song that can be enjoyed playing the bass as a solo instrument. The melody, which uses sixth over Emaj7 chord, may be difficult to get used to at first, but as you play it, you'll get used to the sound and be able to play with your own feelings. (I have the impression that Jaco often uses sixth.)
The solo part is full of emotion, and the impressive octave playing is a highlight. It's also a great way to practice playing the melody, so I highly recommend this song.
